Corner House: Bengaluru’s Ice Cream Haven

Where sweet dreams come true

By Abigail Sylvester

Bengaluru has tonnes of options for dessert but I find myself going back to Corner House every single time.

Since 1982, Corner House has been the go-to spot for all things ice cream in Bengaluru. What started as a simple ice cream parlour and café has blossomed into a city favourite, keeping its roots intact and yet keeping up with the times.

What sets Corner House apart? They don’t compromise on authenticity. Their signature flavours have tasted the same for years. Walk into any Corner House, and you’ll instantly feel at home. The vibe is warm, inviting, and perfect for hanging out with friends and family while treating yourself to some amazing desserts.

It’s not just about ice cream here. While they’ve nailed the art of scoops, they also dish out some of the best mousse, brownies and waffle cones. They don’t shy away from experimenting with flavours. You’ll find unique combinations that’ll surprise and delight your taste buds. They cater to different dietary needs, offering vegan and sugar-free options, too.

More than just a place to satisfy your sweet tooth, Corner House is a part of Bengaluru’s community. It’s where people come together to celebrate, make memories, and enjoy the good things in life. While they are famous for their classic “Death by Chocolate” sundae, do try some of their lesser-known desserts like the strawberry mousse and warm chocolate torte with cold vanilla ice cream and piping hot chocolate fudge.

Next time you’re in Bengaluru, swing by and treat yourself to a scoop or two, and soak in the joy that this iconic spot has been spreading for more than four decades.

Whether you’re a local looking for your ice cream fix or a visitor exploring the city, Corner House makes a simple sundae, a sweet celebration.
