Let’s hear what Micaela Isola has to say about living in Boston, one of America’s most elegant cities:
I live in a part of Boston City that is quiet, with only houses around, no condos, and lots of squirrels and wild bunnies. More than 40,000 people live in my city. Traffic can be harmful during rush hours. The most plentiful local trees and flowers are in Billerica State Forest.
On weekdays, I wake up at 4 am to go to the gym. My neighbours are still in bed, it’s still dark outside, but during spring-summer, the birds are already awake. A typical breakfast in our part of the world is made of eggs and bacon, doughnuts or bagel, but I prefer coffee with milk + bread with butter or yoghurt.
I love to take a stroll or go for a jog in the neighbourhood. I did that last summer, but I am not sure if I’ll do it again. Going for a jog at 4:00 am when it’s still dark outside is a little scary. It takes me about 60 minutes by train to reach my workplace located in downtown Boston. In summer, my city comes alive with birds singing early in the morning and with neighbours playing in their swimming pools. I enjoy going out with my family.
When I am unhappy and need some peace, my city comforts me with great ice cream at Great Brook Farm State Park.
The city’s loveliest street is Boston Road close to downtown because of the lights on the streets. For bargain shopping, I usually go to big stores like TJ Maxx, and Primark and they are located in another town. In the evening, my city looks quiet and my home fills up with the chirrup of crickets by my window. I like to cook different foods for dinner, so we have been trying Hello Fresh and Blue Apron.
