Swimming alongside the largest fish in the sea is one of the ultimate bucket-list experiences.  Tanawan in Oslob which falls to the southeast of Cebu in the Philippines is one of the very few destinations that can offer sightings of whale sharks. Take a dive in the clear Philippine waters with these glorious creatures before the season ends and the water temperature goes up.

When to go: Whale sharks generally arrive between November and June, peaking from February to April for water activities in the Philippines.

The Philippines is home to one of the top cliff diving destinations in the world.  One of the most famous spots is Ariel’s Point located in Buruanga, Aklan which is 35 – 40 minutes away from Boracay Island. They have diving boards starting at 3 meters and as high as 15 meters to offer you a thrilling jump. They also offer other activities such as snorkelling and kayaking. Malapascua in Cebu also offers the best spot for cliff diving.

There are plenty of scuba diving spots, each offering unique perks and amazing experiences. Beginners need to complete training and get a certificate before enjoying the beauty of the ocean. Sabang Ba in Puerto Galera, Taipei Maru Wreck in Coron and Yapak 2 in Boracay are some of the best places to experience scuba diving.
